You and some droid won big! Somehow the fathiers got released before scheduled race time. Software took your bets even though the race was underway.

Well, that explains my concerns stated earlier about how I felt the casino was loose about allowing impromptu betting on whatever thing currently happening -- the race was actually scheduled. A quite tidy bit of tying up loose ends I have to say.

This reminds me of something I listened to recently in the History of English podcast, stating that ancient Roman law actually did distinguish between the rich and the poor -- "a poor man would get harsher punishment than a rich man for the same crime." So while we rightly might consider this ridiculous behavior, it is unfortunately not without historical precedent.
