In comic 2115, there's a random background alien (identified as Bollie Prindel by the transcript) who doesn't seem to know what planet they're on or what the year is. This implies in-universe that they're some kind of Doctor-like time and space traveler, and out-of-universe that it's setting up another of D&D's joke background stories involving a film extra, like the rebel officer who became Lord of the Clabburn Range or the whole Dib Foundway thing. But AFAIK nothing ever came of it, and from my own memory of the films (minor spoiler) this alien never shows up again except possibly in other deep background shots.
