"Uranium will work. Tell the Yanks." My grasp of the timeline isn't perfect, but I think that in late 1940 a) nuclear weapons research in the United Kingdom was ahead of the United States, and b) it was still very much theoretical. If someone from the future could give a guarantee that the tl;dr of the MAUD Committee report would be "do it", and if the Americans could be persuaded to throw their economic and scientific might behind that conclusion, I think there's steps that could be taken to speed up the eventual development of the Bomb even before the full technical details had been worked out. I don't think it would be universally accepted, but it's at least arguable that an earlier Bomb means an earlier end to the war.
