Any characters from themes that haven't been mentioned in this series, they'll be reduced to cameos in said multiverse arc. The thought process there was that the Cliffhangers theme was too intrinsic to the comic's identity to exclude, but couldn't be transplanted into the Fantasy world as I'd done to so many other themes. So... multiverse arc.

Here's a funny story, I've spent a great deal of time poring over this: https://www.dangermouse.net/gurps/demesnes/ DMM's GURPS campaign notes, which predate Irregular Webcomic. My intent was to use a mixture of that, the comic's map, and the needs of the story to create the Irregular Fantasy world. Just as I was finished gathering all that data, I decided to do a bit of Googling - knowing that the campaign setting featured, for instance, the city of Greyhawk, I wanted to check on every other element of the setting to see what else was derived from pre-existing material. As I quickly realized... the Demesnes campaign setting, which I assumed to be lightly Greyhawk-inspired, was the world of Greyhawk, just a GURPS campaign set in the classic D&D setting. Which is a great idea, but I felt deflated, hehe. After I'd spent so much time gathering what I'd thought would be a deep cut into his original works... it was not that. Except for the gods! The Demesnes pantheon features Ehlonna and Moradin but is otherwise original, so that's good. As for everything else, eh, time to relegate that all to mild inspiration. Which is fine! The team wiki where I copied down all the Demesnes content already includes a ton of Forgotten Realms material to use as mild inspiration, so now it has more mild inspiration. I know I don't have to, as it's still pretty much a fanfic, but I'm determined to keep everything in Irregular Fantasy either a DMM original or something new, just in case it evolves into more than that.
And, while relating that story, I did remind him about B.A. Batrachos and pointed out that there is an official Baracus minifigure thanks to the game Lego Dimensions, so, greased those wheels, I certainly can't guarantee anything, we'll just have to see if he fits into the comic plans.
