The question "I wonder if there's a market for a course in quantum mechanics written entirely in monosyllabic words." would seem to just be taking "Uncleftish Beholding" by Poul Anderson and Thing Explainer by Randall Munroe to their logical extreme. For those unfamiliar with either one, UB was Anderson's 1989 essay that attempted to explain atomic theory using only words of Germanic origin (precluding the words "atomic" and "theory", which are both of Greek origin). TE was a 2015 book by Randall Munroe (author of XKCD) which explained various complex subjects using only the 1,000 (or "ten hundred") most common words in the English language.
