Heh, I had that happen while in the theater watching the movie. With Episode VII I had a pretty good idea of the build up to the climax, but with Episode VIII my thought process was more like "OK, this seems like an ending point…oh wait, we passed that. Is this the finale now? Hmm, it's still going. Maybe this is the climax...? …No, there's more happening…"it's hard to judge just how long these comic Episodes can run for and where the climax is.
I don't mean this as a value judgement on the movie; it wasn't one in the moment, just a sort of "oh, interesting" running commentary in my head. (Funnily enough, I've had this happen to me in the past when I was working on a painting from a picture in my head; at several points along the way people said it looked nice and asked if it was finished, with the first time being when it was maybe around 30% done!)
Also, I laughed at "Luke-a-like."
