Possible. It does suggest to me collecting similar landmark strips from comics. I'm not sure that would be very interesting though.
⦁Characters from previous strips gathering
Interesting. Monopoly or a Snakes and Ladders/Candyland parody come to mind.⦁Board game-inspired comic
Also interesting. 39 to go / 3 per week is 13 weeks so we have a bit of time to do this. A variant for those of us who can't draw: maybe everyone submits a favorite strip from a favorite comic to you, you pick out/randomize the panels or strips and erase the dialogue, and everyone takes turns filling in text that way?⦁Exquisite corpse-style comic
None of these really inspire me but there's potential there. Someone who's more of a comic history nerd could probably do something with "We Built This Paper on Comic Strips" or something more poetic than that. Don't let me get in the way of this or a drawing-based idea if they catch fire though.⦁Parodies of other songs:
->“It’s the End of the World as We Know It (and I feel fine)”
->”Hardware Store” - Weird Al
->We Built This City - Starship
Funny idea, not sure that would be big enough to *feel* like a 1,000th strip. Good for an X00th strip though.⦁Trading card parody
