kievanmereel: yes, you missed at least one important thing. Sorry for the bit disjointed presentation here, it's hard to put all this information in the right order.
Harrison Ford Han Solo killed green-skinned Han Solo, stole his identity and his ship. At this point, Harrison Ford Han Solo was using Greedo's identity, but green-skinned Han Solo didn't seem to recognize this, presumably because Harrison Ford Han Solo's disguise was so terrible.
In #764, Jabba reveals that green-skinned Han Solo was a shapeshifter. This is why he recognizes Harrison Ford Han Solo as Han, despite that Harrison Ford Han Solo killed green-skinned Han Solo and stole his identity but doesn't look like him at all. (Jabba is also a shapeshifter, adding to the irony.) Green-skinned Han Solo had told Jabba to bet on Sebulba winning the Boonta Eve pod race. Unfortunately, Qui-Gon's machinations made Sebulba lose, so Jabba lost a large amount of money and is angry at Han. Thus now Harrison Ford Han Solo is in big trouble and has to repay a large amount of money to Jabba. Jabba gave Han some time to get the money because Han Solo's son was murdered on the day of the race. But later, when Han didn't return, Jabba put up a large bounty on him.
Meanwhile, In #1087, Boba Fett explains that he is the son of the shapeshifter Zam Wessel, Darth Maul, and Jango Fett (#1270). Boba inherited shapeshifting from her Zam Wessel. While she was a child, her mother had her infiltrate the Jedi headquaters to erase some data from memory crystals in the Jedi Library. At one point during that mission, he had to disguise himself as a Jedi Youngling. “Unfortunately I got caught up in a sparring class, and without Jedi reflexes I was injured in the splanch. It crippled my shapeshifting ability and my form stuck.” (We still don't know what relationship he had with the Jedi youngling J. K. Burtola – it's suspicious that Burtola knew about dogs eating the library books at all.)
Obi-Wan Kenobi killed Darth Maul. So Boba Fett wants to take revenge on Obi-Wan. In #1041 to #1042, he teams up with Darth Vader, who wants to capture Luke Starkiller, a known associate of Obi-Wan. In #1086, Vader and Boba together manages to capture Luke, Leia, and Han Solo. Boba wants to torture Han to find out where Obi-Wan is. Boba Fett does not know that someone stole green-skinned Han's ability. So Boba believes Han is a shapeshifter, and he can get Han's splanch surgically removed to restore his own lost shapeshifting capability. Given that threat, Harrison Ford Han admits that he isn't really green-skinned Han but merely stole his identity. Han tries to prove this by not shapeshifting, but nobody believes him – and for a good reason (#1239)). Han is cut up to remove his splanch for Boba, but there's no splanch to find. Han is frozen and handed over to Jabba, but Boba follows him because he still wants to find out Obi-Wan's location from him.
Much later, in #2178 to #2183, Kylo Ren explains that he is really Greedo, the shapeshifter son of green-skinned Han Solo. Greedo was the green-skinned kid that we met in #112 (a deleted scene of the movie). In that scene, Greedo insisted that the young Anakin must have cheated in the pod race. Anakin got angry and wrestled Greedo. Everyone thought that Greedo died in that fight (#114, #119, 303, #1862). Greedo actually survived, ran away from Tatooine with his father's help, shapeshifted and took up the new identity of Kylo Ren. Now Kylo Ren is angry at Harrison Ford Han Solo who killed his father and stole his identity. Kylo is either unaware that Harrison Ford Han Solo had also stolen his old Greedo identity, or considers it insignificant.
Given that green-skinned Han and his son Greedo, Jabba, Zam Wessel and his son Boba Fett, Wedge are all shapeshifters, there are entirely too many shapeshifters in this campaign. Thus the non-canonical #411 jokes that everyone is a shapeshifter clone (in a rubber suit I might add). Another non-canonical strip #1521 makes the joke that Wedge has a sister who is also a shapeshifter. All this made me really suspicious about Allan, who claimed to be the identical twin of Poe, so I suspected for a while that he was not really a twin but a shapeshifter clone of Poe, which is how he had access to Poe's memories, Dune style. But later from #2334 it seems that this wasn't the case.
